World of Warcraft Upgrades
Upgrades are components that can be put into equipment to provide various bonus effects. They range from stat increases to increased chances of amazing equip effects.
The item upgrade system is a bit different than the one you are familiar with in other MMORPGs. This guide will cover the basics of how it works and some tips and tricks.
Rerolling
A player can upgrade items such as weapons, armor and trinkets up to level 9 by visiting an upgrader NPC. These NPCs are accessible through a map search or talking to a merchant. When you upgrade an item, it gains strength and new benefits. It can take a lot of time to collect the items needed to upgrade an item, but the rewards are worth it.
An upgrade to a gear requires a specific amount of Power Dices, Minerals and Erons to complete. Power Dices are dropped by monsters in levels 21+ zones and can be acquired through the scavenging system or purchased from the item upgrader NPCs. Minerals and Erons are accessible through crafting or can be purchased from upgraders of items. The upgrade process will destroy any previous upgrades, but the items that resulted can be used.
A player can roll upgrade items once they reach an amount to obtain different bonus stats. This is not a guaranteed process, but it reduces the risk of spending money or resources for an unsatisfactory set. The reroll process is performed through the item upgrader NPC in Central Flarine.
The upgrade pity system, which was introduced with the 2.6.0 gear rework, reduces the extreme variance of upgrading luck. This means that players have a better chance of obtaining their desired item of evolution by spinning a Pokestop.
You can restart an upgrade by pressing the green button which has arrows that are circling. Rerolling is only available to upgrade items that are not currently possessed by any unit, however it does not apply to the original item from which the upgrade was made.
A player can also get discounts on the cost of upgrading of a particular item by rerolling items from the same upgrade track. For example the rerolling of an upgrade from tier 4 to tier 5 will reduce the cost of upgrading other upgrades of tier 4 to tier 5. Rerolling an upgrade to transform it into a weapon from a non-weapon upgrade will reduce the cost of upgrading other items on the upgrade track to weapons by half.
Sets
A set is a group of items that are distinct from each other. Sets can be grouped using different methods. These include union, intersection and symmetric differences. Each method has its pros and drawbacks. The union method joins together two sets, eliminating duplicate elements. It can be used to create other collections like lists or quads. The intersection method is a method of comparing two sets and keeps only the items that are common in both. It can be combined with other operators, for instance the operator &.
A list, also known as a the tuple, is a collection type that permits duplicate values. Sets differ from other types of collection because they do not allow duplicate members. They are used to represent data lists. Utilizing the set to represent a list can help save a lot of space, especially when working with large amounts of data. Sets are also simple to program and permit you to perform more sophisticated maths in Python.
You can obtain additional stats when upgrading an equipment set when you have all the pieces at level 10. This is the best way to gain additional stats out of your gear. However, you need to invest some time in upgrading the set pieces to do so.
The most popular way to show a list of elements is through the roster notation. In this format, the elements are enclosed within curly brackets and separated by commas. This format can be applied to any kind of list. The order of the items in a set doesn't matter.
You can create a set using the set() constructor. This can accept any type of data, including lists, tuples and dictionaries. However, you should remember that sets are unordered and non-recursive. item upgrades should only be used to create sets that contain values.
Sets are also immutable. Once they have been created, the set cannot be changed. This makes them useful for data analysis and filtering. It is also possible to create a set of empty values.
Leveling
The upgrade system for items allows the player to increase the amount of equippable trinkets, weapons and armor. The process involves interacting with an upgrader NPC and spending the appropriate currency to increase the equipment's level. Achieving a higher level for an upgraded weapon or piece of equipment improves its stats, and in some instances it can boost the level.
The cost to level an item is based on the type of upgrader and the current item level of the item. For example, it costs more to level a weapons than it does to level a trinket. The player also requires the necessary materials to complete an upgrade. These are available in a variety of ways. The player can purchase the upgrade components at vendors selling upgrades for items using Aeos Tickets or as rewards from in-game events and challenges.
Some upgrades require the player to be at a certain level to make use of them. Some may even come with other effects that change as the player reaches those milestones. A player must be at a level of 515 or more to upgrade weapons.
Gear transfer is an excellent way to speed up the upgrading process. It allows you to swap between items that are of the same level. This is particularly useful if players find better gear during island quests or when grinding. They can then transfer the upgrade onto the new item.
Alternatively, players can also transfer upgrade components from one piece of equipment to another which will remove the current level and elevate the item to the level of the new component. However, doing this can cause the upgrade to be destroyed and remove its bonus effects unless the player owns an extremely high-quality salvage kit or Black Lion Salvage Kit to recover the upgrade component. The user also needs to be at a certain level to be able to access the upgrade. If the player wishes to upgrade the item to the new level, they can replace it by consuming Harmony Shards and then acquiring the item.
Buy

Purchase an upgrade to an item also known as "upping" is the process of adding a level to any equippable gear. This includes armor, weapons, trinkets and gathering tools that have an upgrade slot. This is done by paying appropriate currencies at an upgrader NPC. Upgrade components can be put into these items to provide an attribute bonus, as well as additional benefits when using the equipment.
Upgrades that are slotted into can be replaced, but they cannot be removed unless the item is destroyed or salvaged using a Black Lion Salvage Kit or higher-end item recovery tools. Glyphs placed in gathering tools can be removed and replaced at any time.
A player can reuse other equipment to acquire six upgrade components. Recycled items add a specific number of levels to the upgrade gauge for an item. The amount increases as the gear grows in value.
